2014 Lake Powell RetreatOur 2014 retreat to Lake Powell was a dream come true…. It’s the place that my most amazing mom would have wanted us to host a retreat. As a family, we have been going to Lake Powell since 1970. We have seen many changes but most of all we have seen lives evolve when you sense the presence of God on the water and just like the changing landscape, this retreat changed lives! With perfect weather and the wind at our backs, we kayaked, paddle boarded and basked in the golden glow of the sunlight red rocks on fire!
Our 2012 retreat at Flathead Lake Lodge in Montana marked a huge life event…the passing of my most amazing mom. So it seemed perfect to honor her and her legacy with our first ever “Mother/Daughter/Sister/Best Friend Retreat,” and that we did! In this beautiful, pristine mountain retreat, we were blessed by the music of Christian recording artist and Dove Award Winner, Crystal Lewis and her most amazing daughter Izzi! As their music rocked our souls and we sang, larger than life, there was the presence of girl scout campfires and silly songs and girl friends hugging and remembering ALL that needed to be remembered in those moments…. A priceless experience I will never forget and so thankful for these two women who changed lives with a song and made my heart break just a little less for my mom. Thank you Crystal…. Always! XXOO
We were extremely excited about our 2011 retreat…a once in a lifetime experience to the legendary Middle Fork Lodge! Located on a remote stretch of the Middle Fork of the Salmon River, in the heart of the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness, one of the last protected designated wild and scenic areas, on the longest un-dammed river in the United States and accessible only by back country airplane! Our September 2011 women’s getaway was an energizing, wilderness adventure that few get to experience. The remote location was the perfect place to enjoy our girlfriend time, amazing food and fine tune our spirits and bodies!
Located a short high speed catamaran ride across the sea from Los Angeles, Catalina Island will make you feel like you’ve been transported to a remote location in the Caribbean or Mexico. We stayed at Banning House Lodge, located on the “wild side” of the island in Two Harbors, where the buffalo really do roam. The crystal clear waters around Two Harbors ebb and flow into secluded coves, ocean caves and reefs all teaming with marine life. The beaches are remote and shell hunting is still a favorite pastime. Our October 2010 women’s retreat was a relaxing weekend spent with great friends, delicious food, physical and mental challenges, and spiritual exercises to help live a life on purpose.
